Marilyn Allen Stokes
1954-2017
Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Marilyn Stokes left this world Sept. 6, 2017. She was born March 24, 1954, to parents Delbert & Margaret Allen, and grew up in Thatcher and Garland, Utah.
She loved nature, and the outdoors. She enjoyed barrel racing, gardening, arts, crafts, and spending time with family.
Marilyn attended Bear River High School, where she helped coach a softball team. Her passion for softball would continue for several years. She played on several teams throughout the Bear River Valley. She never missed a game on T.V.
She met the love of her life, Ferron Stokes, and they were married November 10, 1984. Together they would have three children. She is greatly loved, and will be missed.
Marilyn is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and son, Shawn Stokes.
Marilyn is survived by her husband; children, Callie Stokes and Jeff Stokes; stepchildren, Clay, Laron, Blair, Trina, and Kammie; brothers, David (Sharon) Boss, Lloyd (Debbie) Allen, and Rick (Tamara) Allen.
Funeral services for Marilyn will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 13, at 11 a.m. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral service from 9:30-10:30 a.m. All services will be held in the Garland 3rd, 4th, 5th LDS Chapel (175 S. Main St., Garland).
Interment in the Garland Cemetery.
